In November 2025, the long-awaited racing simulation Assetto Corsa Rally (published by 505 Games), in which Fred Brooker also participated, was released.
His task? To deliver raw and authentic foley sounds of the crowd and atmosphere directly from Czech racing circuits.
3 Days, 30 Kilometers and Adrenaline
Fred spent three days at the racetracks in Poลรญฤรญ nad Sรกzavou and Novรก Pace, where he grabbed a Zoom H5 recording device and devised a unique method to record the most important component of the rally: the spectators.
Physical Extreme: To ensure acoustic quality and spatial depth, Fred walked 15 km along the track every day to find acoustically isolated places where only the crowd could be heard, not the buggies.
Danger and Chaos: The material was extremely authentic. Fred recorded the chaotic shouting and clapping of a drunken crowd, and in Novรก Paka he was almost run over by five buggies that passed just two meters away from him!
Pioneering Work: Fred had to rely purely on his instinct and method, as even international veteran Mark Knight (for whom Fred worked) admitted that he had never recorded this type of foley.
So let's play! The game is in Early Access mode!
